Updates and notices - La Via di Francesco

Updates, advice and reports
Report any problems along the way and we will notify the local authority. Wherever possible, we will also work with the volunteers to resolve the problem. You can also tell us about the beauty that you discovered along the Way – like interesting plant and animal life or an impressive view. By reporting any problems and telling us what struck you, you are not just doing your part to protect the path, but you are helping us find solutions to protect and improve the St Francis’ Way.
Itinerary
All legs of the journey can be shortened because there are stopping areas and accommodation along the way. However, at this point, it is advisable to plan your itinerary well, perhaps choosing the first legs of the journey of a distance of 14/15 km and then gradually seeing how your body reacts to the fatigue and to nature.
Road signs
The entire path is very signposted and monitored, but if you notice any problems please report them using the form beside.
The Way is marked with yellow and blue colors and the yellow Tau. In Tuscany you will find directional arrows with only the yellow Tau. In Umbria and Lazio you'll always find both vertical signs (standard CAI sign with distance km and always yellow Tau on the tip and yellow and blue band) and horizontal signs in paint (yellow Tau and yellow and blue bands) that are abundant and numerous, especially at crossroads.
The path belongs to the pilgrims, so if you notice any problem report it to info@viadifrancesco.it or using the form opposite.
It is recommended to always have a guidebook with maps and GPX tracks that you can download from the site, which can be useful in case of doubts.
Updates on the path
The updates and reports on the route are reported on the individual stages (you will find on the stage card the alert "Attention" in case of problems).
