In Spello, on 6–7 June 2026, for the Corpus Christi celebration, the medieval town is transformed into a large floral art route involving the historic centre. Spello hosts the Infiorate of Spello, during which its streets are covered with around 1,500 square metres of artworks and carpets made from millions of petals, inspired by religious themes and artistic compositions. Preparation begins months in advance with flower gathering activities involving hundreds of local participants, continuing into the night between Saturday and Sunday, when the infioratori work intensively to create the artworks that at dawn colour the town. During the event, visitors can also enjoy moments of gathering and entertainment with flower-themed street food, an event area and concerts that accompany the visit experience. The initiative also includes the “infioratori for a day” experience, allowing visitors to take part in the process alongside master infioratori, from flower picking to petal preparation and composition of the artworks, with activities open to both adults and children. These elements turn the historic centre into an immersive experience combining tradition, art and community participation.
