Sagra della Rocciata and Handmade Gnocchi Festival
In San Giovanni Profiamma, a hamlet of Foligno, the 32st edition of the Sagra della Rocciata will take place from July 31 to August 16. This event blends tradition, conviviality, and a focus on social issues. The main feature is the rocciata, the famous dessert from Foligno linked to rural cuisine and now recognized among the protected recipes of the Umbrian culinary tradition. It is an ancient preparation, a symbol of local folk memory, and has recently gained attention through TV shows and culinary competitions.
The festival offers a rich program with live music, local food and wine, and moments of social gathering — all in a context that celebrates not only food but also the cultural and social aspects of the region. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Umbrian Association for the Fight Against Cancer (AUCC), confirming the organizers’ commitment to concrete solidarity and support for the community.
